Meditation Classes at Atrium
Meditation helps to train attention, achieve mental clarity, and support emotional stability. The social meditation practiced at Atrium also helps students build community and create a sense of place. These mindfulness practices are an excellent way to get grounded and deepen the mind-body connection.
Meditation Group
Meditation Group
This is a free class with a suggested donation of $5, payable by card, cash, or Venmo at the front desk.
This group is open to practitioners of all ages and experience levels (including those new to meditation) interested in exploring meditation practice in a secular, non-dogmatic environment. Practice begins with half an hour of silent meditation (instruction available), followed by social meditation.
Social meditation is a practice of mindful communication (think meditative talking circle) in which body, speech, and mind come together in a more congruent expression of our present moment experience. The practice fosters a sense of both confidence and community.
